Wash with baking soda
baking-soda
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda to every one cup of warm water and apply or you can simply add some baking soda to your shampoo while washing hair to derive its benefits. Baking soda, along with its exfoliation and anti-fungal properties, also soothes the scalp and reduces redness and itching. It will counter the growth of overactive fungi and leave you with a cleaner mane.

Massage with olive oil

Heat some extra virgin olive oil until it is slightly warm, massage it onto your scalp and then wrap your hair in a warm towel. Leave it on for at least 45 minutes or overnight and then shampoo and condition your hair. Repeat this remedy a few times a week. Olive oil is a natural moisturizer  that has the power to cure your dry and itchy scalp.

Say no to dandruff with neem

Take ¼ cup neem juice, coconut milk and beetroot juice and 1 tsp coconut oil. Mix all the ingredients together and massage the pack into the scalp. Wash it after 20 minutes with a herbal shampoo and conditioner. Repeat this remedy every once a week.

Squeeze some lemon

Mix the juice of half a lemon in one-quarter cup of plain yogurt and apply it on your hair and scalp. Leave it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off and shampooing your hair. The acidity in pure freshly squeezed lemon juice contains acids that can help break down the fungus that is often the cause of dandruff outbreaks.
