Bleeding gums is a common condition which occurs due to gum infection, poor oral hygiene or it may be caused due to certain internal infection. If not treated and controlled, it may get worse and develop into advanced and complicated stages of gums diseases.

Gum bleeding is very common and many people suffer from it. The best advice always is to see your dentist every once in a while. However a few  simple home remedies may also work effectively.

Here are 5  easy remedies to treat your bleeding gums:

1. Clove Oil

Clove oil helps in eliminating the inflammation of gums and stops the gums from bleeding to a larger extent. It is considered to be the best natural home remedy to cure this particular issue. All you need is  a little clove oil and rub it on your gums. You can also chew on one or two cloves for the same effect. You may feel a slight burning sensation, but it is a quickest fix to reduce the inflammation.

2. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is packed with healing properties and one of the properties is to reduce gum inflammation and bleeding. Take a small amount of aloe vera pulp and massage it on your gums, let the pulp settle on your gums before rinsing your mouth.

3. Lemon

Lemon is loaded with vitamin C that helps to maintain healthy gums. Squeeze half a lemon in one glass of water and use it to rinse your mouth after meals. It is an excellent mouth freshener and it helps in arresting bleeding in gums.

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is anti-bacterial which kills the harmful bacterial in mouth. Add 1 to 2 drops of tea tree oil into lukewarm water and swish around after brushing your teeth. You can also add a drop of the oil on your toothpaste while brushing.

5. Honey

Honey is the sweetest remedy, it is excellent for gums because of its anti-bacterial properties. It is also rich in minerals and vitamins and provides the necessary nutrients for maintaining healthy gums. Take some organic honey and rub them on your gums twice a day.
