Imran Khan and Reham Khan Celebrated Valima with Students of Madrassa
Due to the Peshawar tragedy, Imran had decided against having a grand Valima ceremony and chose to distribute food to less privileged children. The newly married couple distributed food among children at child welfare organisation ‘Sweet Homes’ which is a project of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal and provides shelter, education and care to children from FATA, Kashmir, Bannu, Dera Bugti who have been affected by militancy.
The PTI chairman stated that Pakistan should start a new tradition. Instead of spending huge amounts of money on weddings, people should make efforts to donate to the underprivileged.
Wasim Akram Celebrated Daughter’s First Birthday with 400 Orphans
Pakistani cricket giant Waseem Akram along with his wife Shaniera Akram celebrated their daughter Aiylas’s first birthday in an orphanage with 400 orphans at Karachi’s Moin Khan Cricket Academy. Anjuman Hayatul Islam, Shed Foundation and Saram Burney Trust are the 3 NGOs that were invited to join in the celebrations. These NGOs are being supported by The Akram Foundation, a charity organisation recently set-up by Wasim and his wife Shaneria.
Wasim Akram tweeted that he hopes to keep up with this tradition every year while Shaneria tweeted that this was the best present they could give their daughter.

Bilawal Donated Blood to Mark Benazir Bhutto’s Death Anniversary
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari donated blood in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh town of Sindh where a large number of party supporters gathered to observe the eighth death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. According to reports, Bilawal donated blood at Naudero House in Larkana before going to address a huge public meeting while his party workers donated blood across the country. The blood donations would be given to the injured soldiers of the armed forces in war against terrorism and patient welfare societies.
Malala Inaugurated School for Syrian Refugee Girls on 18th Birthday
Education promoter and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai choose to celebrate her 18th birthday in Lebanon . She inaugurated the Malala Fund’s “Malala Yousafzai All-Girls School” near the Syrian border, which will provide quality secondary education to more than 200 Syrian.
Malala said that she was honoured to mark her 18th birthday with the brave and inspiring girls of Syria.
