With how busy our everyday life has become, a good nights sleep is essential to keep us from looking like complete trolls.  Most ladies need somewhere between 6-8 hours of sleep a night while other require a little extra. Regardless, a full night’s uninterrupted slumber helps your entire body to rebuild sore muscles and your brain to process the day. When you wake up fresh, you look fresh all day! So there’s your number one reason to make sure you maintain a healthy sleep pattern.


The needed sleep hours keep stress at bay and also help you maintain and lose weight. The same hormones that are responsible for regulating stress also help regulate your appetite. So sleep is directly proportional to how your body looks, being your second most important reason justifying the connection between sleep and beauty.

While the basics have already been covered and we now know how sleep has a huge role to play when it comes to beauty, below are some additional tips and tricks to boost it further:


1. Make it a habit to cleanse and moisturize your face before bed time. The cells of the skin regenerate at night, we should give them the vitamins they need! The skin can lose a lot of water while you sleep, night creams are usually more moisturizing than day creams, which can help with the absorption of vitamins and other ingredients.

2. If you have boring hair and want to wake up with a naturally made hairstyle, styling your hair in a high bun is another way to wake up with beautiful waves with minimal effort. While another gorgeous hair hack is to  comb an argan oil-based product through your dry or wet hair before bed and wrap your head in a silk scarf for an overnight hair treatment. You may also apply other hair care packs and masks once in a while and let them work their way overnight.

3. Your sleep position is very important! If you’re sleeping in an uncomfortable position, then chances are that no matter how many hours of sleep, you’ll still wake up looking like a troll! Sleeping on your stomach can actually lead to puffiness in your face. It also reduces circulation, which can contribute to wrinkles and signs of aging.
